I’m a UX designer and strategist based in Austin, Texas who brings over 10 years of experience working to deliver exceptional experiences for humans by uncovering and understanding the problems users face and identifying the best solutions to solve them. I have experience in B2B Retail and product marketing, B2C Retail and product selection & education, and Service Design.
After starting my career as a designer back in the early 2010s, I quickly found that what I was most passionate about was not just designing the final experience that my users would touch, but actually starting from the very beginning of the digital experience process: uncovering the problems that users needed us to solve; quantifying and understanding them; and then designing, developing, and deploying them with testing and iteration along the way.
This remains my passion to this day and what brings the most fulfillment to my life at work.
I am currently employed by JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Principle Product Designer & Strategist supporting Chase’s Operations Division
Our users include over 38,000 internal employees and the 40M American households that bank or hold credit products with Chase. In my role, I am responsible for leading the strategy and buildout of innovative new technologies and processes that enable both our internal employees and our public customers to be as effective and efficient as they can in their interactions with Chase.
“When polled about why a product failed with users, the top response was that the product was developed with an “incorrect understanding of customer needs””
Which lead to the design, development, and launch of solutions that didn’t deliver value to the company’s customers. Strong product leadership is doing our due diligence to fully understand our customers’ needs and delivering a data-driven, executable product strategy. Through design, build, and deployment we test, validate, and iterate to reduce risk and ensure continual improvement.
